Mindful Meditation & Movement (MMM)

Each authentic movement session will involve an exploration of the mind-body connection. Meditations will vary in their sensory focus (e.g., sight, touch, sound), will involve stillness (e.g., seated meditations) and movement (e.g., yoga/ martial arts/dance/story telling). Themes may be introduced at the start of session and we’ll explore difficulties that arise (i.e. thoughts, emotions, sensations), with suggestions on how to cope with these experiences.

Each session will help to nurture the capacity for present moment, embodied awareness, greater self attunement and regulation, and improved well being. Over time, this work will foster greater self compassion, stronger boundaries, improved mood, lower pain, decreased stress symptoms, greater resilience, better interrelatedness and increased connection with one's higher and creative self.

*No prior experience with meditation or dance is necessary.
